After it became "a little much" for an adult pretending to be a globetrotting explorer, he earned his bachelor's degree in Film and Theatre from University of Nebraska at Lincoln and channeled his adventurous spirit onto the page.

Eventually, Sandra's passion for the pen landed her space in New Jersey's Pascack Press Newspaper with a weekly column titled, "I Just Can't Breathe".
With the column's focus on marriage, raising four children, having a full-time career, managing a home and also running herself ragged, it was no surprise that readers were hooked and humored. Tristan was the lead producer of the neo-western thriller feature "Head Count" starring Ryan Kwanten (True Blood, Kindred), Aaron Jakubenko (Tidelands, The Shannara Chronicles), Melanie Zanetti (Bluey, Raven's Hollow) being distributed by Shout Factory (Old Henry) & Umbrella Entertainment (The Babadook).
Tristan also produced the short films "Reklaw" and "Suspense" played at SXSW & Fantasia Film festivals, and won "Hollyshorts" thriller section, as well as directed the feature film, "Subject" which was selected for Cannes Frontiers.
